Mystlings IC (Mature Possible)

Shuanna had to literally look up to meet the big man's eyes. She stared at him for a bit, In a stupor. She had never encountered someone like this before, but after blinking a bit to come back to earth, she figured that she would have to get used to not seeing humans.
Like a girl of her caliber, she straightened up and laid down her courtesy skills.
Smiling warmly up to the big man, she had begun to talk in her hushed, yet sweet voice. Her throat still hurt, so speaking is a little painful.

"Yeh! I found those rocks over on the outskirts of the Alpha site! See.. what had happened was that I cracked open a huge rock on accident! I was standing on it and my weight tipped it over so.." She smiled embarrassingly, but the thought that a story as to how these came to be would help intrigue the man. But now she sounded like a clumsy retard.
"I found those rocks formed inside the big rock, kind of like how a diamond is, ya know? heheheh! .. I took them out with a swiss army knife.. "

Nobody could of asked for better timing, for as if he had been summoned by the two of them, Brock Turner approached them from behind, grabbing Jeremy around the chest and scratching his head behind his ears. His big arms easily wrapped all the way around him, putting him in a tight clench. "Jeremy! How are you friend?" He had yet to take notice of his friend from so many years ago, now enemy, standing right next to him. He rested his arm on Jeremy's shoulders and gave him a small shake. "You know, we can't say this to often, but it's actual a great day here in Alpha Site." His voice was sounded so comforting, as if no matter what was going wrong around him, he could fix it. He laughed as he stared around at all the seemingly happy Mystlings.

Ryan nodded, remembering not to smile which actually caused him to frown making him look even more intimidating.
Precious stones inside a big rock just sitting on the ground? more over one that would just crumble apart on it's own accord? that was unusual, still these rocks were incredibly eye catching but they weren't diamonds or anything, maybe something Myst related? Those kind of things tended to crop up occasionally in Alpha site.
Ryan was more than a little curious, he always loved a good mystery.

"You'll share?" he boomed, posing what sounded like a statement as a question as he so often did.
He plunked all of the stones down on the counter except one which he held in his palm and prodded, squinting at it. It really was very pretty.

Ryan quite suddenly realised how rude he was being and looked up instantly, quickly adopting a sheepish expression.
"I'm Ryan. Welcome."

"Yeah, we got a good deal on that last trip, we all needed this little vacation." He smiled, and turned to introduce Mrs. Turner to Brock. "This is Valeria Turner, she's new to the camp."

Again, Val's mouth moved but no words came out. What should she say? Should she stick to her disguise? Or say what was really on her mind? She settled on a super fake, "Pleased to meet you."

Shuanna's hair lifted and fell as the man practically bellowed out; " You'll Share?"
like she had a choice.. What was she gunna do? Yell out 'no!' and take them away from him?

"yeh! Of course! Haha!" she laughed trying to keep happy.
"it's like anyone has money anyway.."

The corner of Brock's mouth twitched at the name Valeria, and his smile faded slightly. But he forced one back on as he turned to face her. But without missing a beat, it faded again. She looked just as he thought his friend from so long ago would turn out. But, it couldn't possibly be her, she hated the Mystlings. It had to be a terribly bad coincidence. He tried to sound as friendly as possible, extending his hand to shake hers. "Brock Turner. Not to often you meet someone with the same last name, huh? You aren't a long lost cousin or somethin' right?" His attempt to be funny just came off as forcing to cover an awkward moment.

"Or something works," Val said, a bit of bitterness slipping into her voice. She stared at him, looking him over. He had changed a bit, but there was no mistaking him. She crossed her arms, refusing to take his hand.

"You do know each other..." Jeremy barely whispered that part, and had the sudden urge to be somewhere else. "I'm going to go get my plate, good seeing you Brock, nice to meet you Mrs. Turner." He passed a small shack that Ryan was staring into, and went to get in line.

Stood awkwardly for a moment, trying to draw his gaze to anything but her, but was unsuccessful. "So...Valeria." He cleared his throat and fell silent again. He wasn't sure if he could handle this. She seemed exactly as he imagined she would look. "I'm sorry I'm being so awkward. You just...remind me of someone I knew once." He cleared his throat again and tried to speak as though he was happy to see her. "So, new to town? How do you like it so far?"

"To be frank, I don't think I like it. Something about the residents. One in particular I believe is nothing more then a lying scumbag," she fake-smiled again. "You seem popular. Maybe you could do something about this guy."

"I can't say I know anyone of that character here in the Alpha Site, and I know almost everyone." He raised an eyebrow. "Most people of that nature don't last very long around here. Perhaps there was just a misunderstanding? But I'd gladly take care of any problem if you point me in the right direction."

At that Val blew up. "A misunderstanding?!? A MISUNDERSTANDING?!?! A misunderstanding is throwing out perfectly good leftovers. What you did is fucking lie to me for years!" She pointed an accusatory finger at Brock. "You are a fucking bastard and I should just shoot you right now," she growled.

A split second later, Brock's entire body shimmered brightly from the sun overhead, reflecting off light in many directions, drawing the eyes of everyone in the vicinity. "Ford!" He stumbled back a few feet, feeling as though he had known all along, but now being sure, didn't know what to do with himself. He stepped forward again, lifting a hand towards her. "I...I didn't want to hurt you. I thought keeping it hidden was the best thing I could do..." Almost everyone was looking at them, being that it was so rare of an occasion to get Brock to change.

"Oh, and you figured you would just keep it hidden for the rest of your life?! Good job with that by the way." She took a step back, glaring at him. "You know, I think I liked it better when I imagined you were dead."

Shuanna's eyes were blinded, letting out a small yelp, she shielded her eyes.
For a split second, she felt self conscious, thinking that she was glowing herself, only to realize that the light was coming from else where.
Squinting and perching a hand over her brow, she tried to see who it was.
It was another man, but more like her, seemingly normal on the outside, but with the curse of the light given from the sky, it will show their true identities as mystlings.

Ryan was oblivious to the ruckus occuring just on the other side of the plaza, he was entranced by the shiny stone in his head, gazing into it.
He realized then that it wasn't just when it was in the light that it shone, but it sparkled even when there was none, he was fascinated.

Show me where it's from? he asked before leaning forward and cupping one side of his mouth to conspiciously whisper to her, a whisper that could still have probably been heard half way across the plaza where it not for the shouting match that was just beginning.
Might be special he winked at her, finally grinning his fang filled grin.

His eyes became harsh, and slowly, it seemed as though the metal was melting off of his body. His skin returned to normal and he continued to glare at her, partially angry, partially heartbroken. "Valeria Ford, you are in no way, shape, or form, a Mystling. Therefore you are henceforth banned from the Alpha Site." He said this loudly for everyone to hear, but muttered the next part so only she could here. "I did die. And was reborn something much better. I never want to see you again...leave."

Val wasn't done yet. "There is no way this is better then before," she hissed. "And you can ban me all you want. Doesn't mean I respect your 'authority.'" There was practically venom dripping from that last word.

The look that appeared on his face became so sharp, it could of cut diamonds. He couldn't find words to match the anger swelling inside him. But he didn't need to say anything at all, as the Myst spoke for him. The ground all around the plaza, gave a slight shudder. It wasn't enough to do damage, but it was enough to make everything shake for a moment and everyone check the ground under there feet.

"Aaahh!" Shuanna shrieked like any damsel in distress would, grabbing for the nearest stable thing.
After the shake was done, it turned out that Shuanna was holding onto Ryan's arm like a school girl hanging onto Chris Redfield.

It was the tremor that finally alerted Ryan to the impending trouble. Looking over he was horrified at the thought of an imminent violent outbreak and bounded over as fast as he could, crushing a bench accidentally on the way, terrified people almost dove to get out of his way.
Unfortunately he was so strong that he was completely unaware of the new girl clinging to his arm and likely carried her with him the whole way.

He was there in only a moment and already stepping in between Brock and the Blue haired girl.

"NO!" It was probably heard over the entire camp "Must never fight!" Shielding brock with one giant hand he gave him a stern look before turning to the one he assumed to be the troublemaker.
"You not good. Causing trouble is bad. Leave somewhere quiet until you are calm down" This was by far his longest speach for today and it was evident that he had trouble stringing too many words together. He attempted to give the woman a meaningful look but it probably came out wrong. But regardless, If someone Ryans size told you to calm down...you'd probably do it.

Jeremy felt the ground shake, then an even more violent tremor from the giant Ryan. Honestly, he was used to the ground shaking when everyone was happy, but that one small tremor sent chills through him. He left the line to return to where Brock was clearly getting dangerously upset.

There were tears escaping from her eyes now. She barely even registered the tremor, or Ryan coming in between the two. "Fucking bastard..." she whispered.

"Ryan, please escort Miss.Ford to the exit, and be sure she leaves." Though he wasn't speaking to her, his eyes never left hers, and his gaze never softened. After a few moments of motionless staring, he closed his eyes, turned his back on her, and forced himself to walk away from the situation. He was held to highly in this community to physically fight and hurt a Human, or worse, other Mystlings.
