The Tales of Modern Faerie: OCC

Tale of the Faerie-

This is a dark world and the old ways. The ancient beings known as the faeries live in their own world without humans. The legend of queen Mab and the King of Fae existed in their own right. Their world is free of humans. They have their own conflicts and wars. They are immortal, but can die just the same. Some have wings and others don't. This world is elementally based. There are the dark fae, the light fae, high court and the ice fae. They have their alliance with each other and their enemies. This world is what suits each race of Faerie. The Ice Faerie belong in the winter realm, the light faerie in the warmer areas, etc. The dark faerie feed off peoples' lust and fears, their darker desires and it can be addictive (From a book). On the bright side the high court Fae are their own, they have little to do with the others.

There is tension building between the dark fae and the high court. This rp take place between these two different realms. They are on the brink of war. Over the centuries the dark faerie have been considered a difficult force to control. They are a nuisance and should be destroyed. They are like the vampires of the faerie world. At the same time the dark faerie want to rid of ruler of the light realm. That drags the light faerie in because they are in an alliance with the high court faerie. This leads into a massive conflict. The winter faerie are allied with no one, they are working in the background. Their role is as the neutral force.

Human Involvement:

However, the humans play into this story living in medieval times. They have no knowledge of the beings that lay beside them in a different realm, co-existing sometimes in their realm. There are a few special humans that have the ‘sight’, the ability to be able to the invisible faerie. They are few in number and usually executed by the faerie themselves as to not let themselves be revealed to the mortals. There are times, such as on All Hallows eve where the faerie can pass through the circle and enter the human realm. They are not there to be friendly. They trick the humans and feed off their fear (Only the dark faeries do this). Mortals accidentally became involved in the Faeries’ growing conflict when a few humans were killed. The dark faerie managed to find a way to escape in the human world and the High court faerie followed them through. The high court ambushed them as the dark faerie were feeding off of a few weak humans. The fighting occurred and death of the human victims. Ten dead there had been no survivors that night. This is how the humans get the involved. A small group trying to prevent the faeries from entering the human world. The growing war is moving into the human world.

You can play a human, any faerie, but to be one of the royalty you must PM an appropriate Bio.

There are plenty of different types of Faerie open to play. You can be Dark, summer, high court, or winter. Remember they must make since. This might be a world of magic, but it still needs some sense.
