OK, this one is simple. Just post up a piece of art that inspires you. It doesn't matter who it is from, just as long as you put their name with the art, so everyone knows who did it. Also, a brief explanation of how it inspires you/what it inspires you to do would be nice too.

Here's one that inspires me to write. It's up in the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, and I go there often to aid my writing. I often get lost in this painting, it has so much depth, and it triggers so many scenes in my mind, of religion, war, peace, dereliction, loss, grief, memory, and solitude.

It's called "The Ruins Of Holyrood Chapel, and it was painted by Louis Daguerre (1787-1851)
