In the cosmos, there are dimensions, and realms, worlds, and destines, each having to follow a path. A way to transcendence. There are Gods, and Goddesses, vast pantheons, each with a slew of different rulers, and kingdoms, worshipers and followers, those who rebuke, and those who deny. And though each is different, each has its own place, its own time, its own season, one thing must remain. Balance. Balance between light and dark. Balance between good and evil. Balance between here and there. Balance between fire... and water...
The Gelus people have long since had a deep disdain for the "Beings of Fire" or, more commonly in their tongue, the "Pravus," a horrible word meaning evil, lesser being. They were raised to not only hate, but fear the fire starters as well because they bring nothing but corruption to the otherwise peaceful land of "Gelidus" They're a serene, quite, contemplating lot that enjoy being at one with the cools of the water. While they're slightly frigid in mind, body and spirit, they've learned to adapt, some even going so far as loving one another, though that's not too common in the race. And then there's their arch enemies, or so they feel, the Yevon.
The Yevon are a warrior community without anger. They aren't cold and emotionless, but they believe that they are above the petty feelings of anger and hatred that drive other fighters to madness. They fight for their own strength, to prove to themselves that they are the strongest they could be. They commune with the God of Fire, Marthas, daily in a hall of massive proportions where each is allowed to voice his complaints openly and be heard by all. Rarely if ever has this practice been used, as the bounty of the land of Spira is sufficient for all Yevon.
Could these two races ever possibly work together? Could they have one of each conquer something larger than life itself? They'd better hope so, because there's something dark... Something wrong... Something backwards... Brewing in the air of the Cosmos, and the King of Nothing has transcended upon all the lands. Hailing from his Realm of Darkness, The King of Nothing is the ultimate evil, and has designs to not only take over, but to desecrate all living things in all living, and non living, realms. It's up to these two, one of fire, and one of water, to destroy the King of Nothing, and all that re presides over, or life as every world, every realm, every faction, knows it, will end.
