| Favorite poets....Simple name your Favorite and reason why or favorite poems/or poem by them. Childhood Poet- Shel Silverstein- I loved his silliness. Dr. Seuss.- Entertaining little children, causing joy. Edgar Allen Poe- His brilliance in his flow of words and description of his dream poems. Robert Frost- For his masterful depiction of nature. He has the ability to capture nature in words and set upon the paper images of the greatness or a short story in poetry. W.B.Yeats- Love his love poems, they are perfect for a hopeless romantic, showing his love for his beloved just an amazing read. Consumes everytime I read them. Sample of Yeats work: - Quote :
- The poem: The Lover Tells of the Rose in His Heart
by Yeats
All things uncomely and broken, all things worn out and old The cry of a child by the roadway, the creak of a lumbering cart, The heavy steps of the ploughman, splashing the wintry mould, Are wronging your image that blossoms a rose in the deeps of my heart.
The wrong of unshapely things is a wrong too great to be told; I hunger to build them anew and sit on a green knoll apart, With the earth and the sky and the water, remade like a casket of gold For my dreams of your image that blossoms a rose in the deeps of my heart. More to come...

| I really love Emily Dickinson (although she sometimes can be really dry) and Dylan Thomas. He not only writes but audio-recordings of his stuff and it makes me melt. Seriously. Plus, Bob Dylan named himself after the irishman so he's doubly awesome. ^^ | |

| Robinson Jeffers- His work is powerful and epic- Should be remembered. As I read some of them I thought "This is this man's thought and how powerful he speaks the truth." It's very worth a read. - My favorites of his:
Star-Swirl Unnatural Powers End of the World The Epic Stars Birth and Death Let Them Alone
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow- His usage of old speech is beautiful and flow brilliant with his poems. Also a master of imagery and description <3
