| As someone who deters away from romance, sappy vampires that have fallen in love and werewolves that have done the same: I fail to see the appeal to Twilight. I thought Vamps and Were's were tough blood thirsty beings that saw their lives as a curse or embraced it. Not fall in love with weedy little human girls who won't last long at all.
Someone, try and change my mind. I may have to endure watching it sometime in the near future.
DISCUSS!

| Have you read the books? Because both Jacob and Edward hate being what they are. They would much rather be human. I like the books. I kinda like the movies. I go see them all, but it's more because it's a tradition between my friend and I more so then anything else. There are more things involved in the books than a love triangle between vampire, werewolf, and human (who's a little more than a normal human btw). The relationships are completely unrealistic and anybody that wants a "Twilight romance" needs their head checked, but if you haven't read it, you should try to give it a chance, it's better than the movies let you believe. lol. | |

| I've never read it or taken a glance due to the hype on it. All I've heard is it's one of those 'great love stories' and sorry but I wanted to barf. But I can borrow the books so I'll take a banter on it.

| I wouldn't call it a great love story, but I actually picked it up cause I wanted to know what the big deal was all about, and the author is good. She sucked me in. Granted, it's not hard to suck a book worm with a thing for the paranormal into a book about vampires, now is it? lol. But I hate when people say they don't like it and are completely against it when they haven't even given it a try. That's just ignorance in my eyes. | |

| I would set you the challenge of converting me. But I hate, loath, cannot stand teenage idealised relationship stories. Even romance... good romance is still a stretch to me. So its a impossible task really.
It would be ignorance, I guess, if it wasn't personal preference. But certainly the horde of screaming fan girls that will literally maim you for any word against twilight. Fantasising about blood suckers. Not really a great attraction for any male.

| That's true. I'm not even going to take the challenge, but as you're admitting that you won't read it, don't bad mouth it in front of me especially. That's where the ignorance lies. I won't watch Star Trek, so I don't say anything bad about it. I can't. I haven't given it a chance so I can't form an accurate opinion. If you don't want to read it, that's up to you, as long as you understand that you're opinion is nonexistent until you do, we have no problems. | |

| Ahh, I disagree with you there. We all form opinions, about everything. A basic understanding of the plot would suffice to allow that I could judge, as a whole, my immediate reaction to it. And intial reactions are important, true that I cannot comment on the writing style, exactly plot line, characters or even setting. But as a generic story line, which it is, I can dislike/hate/loath/etc/etcetcetc. Did I ever mention I like arguments, probably a good time to mention this... | |

| I do also, but alas, I agree with you.
When I said that you cannot have an opinion, I meant an in depth opinion. For instance, my refusal to watch Star Trek is due to my opinion that I don't enjoy the plot line. In order to decide that you don't want to read or watch something, you must form a general opinion on the topic.
But at the same time, you can't say that you dislike Twilight, but you can say that you aren't interested in it. Same as I can't say I dislike Star Trek, but I'm not interested in it. Our opinions are too general to even say that we like or dislike it.
Atleast that's how I feel on the subject.

| Way to pick a fight against 3 out of the 4 admins, Warlord... xD
I am not interested in Twilight in the slightest, I have no opinion on it, because I haven't read it, don't know what it's about, and I have no intention of changing this.

| Well, where Ace and I live, you have to be a hermit to not know what it is. You can't turn on the tv, go online, or even go to get some fast food without having to deal with it right now. Good thing I don't mind it huh? | |

| Vote of +1 reader from the male side of the spectrum, a bit of a rarity from what I've seen of it's usual audience. Personally, I find the writing style to be of sound quality, most of the characters to be dynamic and full of history and personality, and the plot to have reasonable pace and direction everywhere except the second (and slowest) book. Oddly, I'd have to claim that one as my favorite of the four... | |

| Read the first book, decided while it was okay, it wasn't my cup of tea, and moved on to something more my thing. The crazy end of the fandom pool scares me, but I can say the same thing for any fandom really. That's all I really have to say on the subject. | |

| I'm having a battle looking at the book cover alone .... this is bad. I am doomed. All the fangirls going on about Edward and Jacob is also a turn off. I'm taking the man's side of view it's quite strange though I will get round to starting to read it. Just so I can make a definately say that I don't like it.

How what's possible? That you can ignore it. But try finding one of the older books. Then all you have to look at is a ribbon or chess piece or something, not the actors. I won't get a book that has a movie cover on it.

| Oh it's easy. My lack of interest helps a lot. I don't have any compulsion to read the books or watch the movies. | |

| The fan girls certainly make things interesting. While the storyline is more geared towards females. Most males take one look at the "Blood suckers" and that's JUST the fan girls, not even the book and high tail it to somewhere safer. Perhaps it would help if I had a fetish for pain and/or blood or something. As there is nothing all that attractive about a person who will use you like a carton of milk. Just saying | |

| Ok, so hopefully it's just cause it's five am and I don't want to be up, but am trying to get the baby back asleep while I'm half asleep myself, but I didn't understand a word you just said. With any luck I'll look at this again later today and go "Oh, that's what he meant, god I'm stupid...." lol. | |
