Intro:
The colonization of Pluto was met with shouts of glee and pride. Man had overcome one of the most hostile environments in the solar system, and now 700 brave souls rested under the geodesic dome lovingly named 'Persephone'. The colony symbolized man's many victories over savage nature, but deep underneath, a darker reason for its existence would soon surface.
Everything began in the civilian sector of P1 Base, Persephone; a series of disappearances during the night, one or two people simply vanishing. A distress call was hastily sent out to Titan Base, where the warship
Vigorous left port for the cold, lonely dwarf planet. As investigations came up empty, a ripple of terror ran through the colony, the men and women who'd once been so enthusiastic about digging another milestone into the road now just pushing to get off the dead rock. But one night would change the lives of the colonists forever.
When contact with the civilian sector was lost, a party of twelve marines was sent to investigate. Contact with them, too was immediately cut off several hours into the mission. While knowledge of this was quickly suppressed, rumors brewed into suspicion, and suspicion into fear. The next day, a merchant vessel was seen exiting the dome from the civilian sector. The military base was immediately ordered to shoot it down, and the trade ship crash-landed in the gray dusts of the red zone, the area where no life could inhabit. One escape pod was launched, which contained a small, sickly girl. The squad of vacuum troopers who were sent to investigate returned with pod in hands, hoping they could save at least one life for the dozens lost already.
The escapee was placed under emergency care in the base's military hospital. The next morning, she was gone, no trace of her left except the imprint of her small body on the hospital bed. That's when things turned bad. Now soldiers, scientists, and researchers were disappearing too, and with each one the rumors grew. Some took their own lives, others grew insane, and some decided to take action. Disobeying direct orders from High Command, a group of civilians and soldiers aims to reach the emergency launch pad and escape to the
Vigorous. But whatever has been taking the lives of the others is watching them, wishing also to be free of the dead planet it rests on.

Dead Silent is a science fiction survival RP in which you have to attempt to get off of Pluto, either by surviving until Vigorous arrives, or reaching the emergency launch pad and launching a shuttle to the coming warship. A few things that should be noted:
This is a sci-fi RP based on reality. There is no faster-than-light travel, there are no gravity generators, and no (dangerous) lazers. Pluto's gravity has been significantly enhanced by implanting huge amounts of super-dense material into its core, raising its gravity to about .5 G's (halfof Earth's gravity). This will affect your characters' walking patterns, lifetime, and bone density, among other things.
