Alright, so I just wanted to refresh this page and add some new rules. The one thing that I wanted to add is that when you enter your idea with the prizes I will have to approve not only the idea, but the prizes. That's all. It's once again opened to entrees! Mod, Mai

| Alright, I'm bumping this for promotional reasons.
We want ANY ideas for contests here, within reason.
As an added bonus, if your idea is chosen, you have the choice of entering, or being a guest judge.

| So... I can't remember my old ideas... is there any way that they didn't get completely deleted so that I can repost them? | |

| I wonder...hmm...I guess we don't have thing like in RPGFO where you could see the posts someone made...from a while back.
I'm trying to think of how to find it if there is any chance it's still around.

| I've just been through Kaely's entire post history and I can't find it. Maybe it went during the time we were trying to save the site. | |

| So I have discovered one of Kaely's old ideas after talking to her about it last night. It was about doing a Roleplaying contest. I thought that was a great idea.
What do you think Mike? | |

| Well basically, it'd be like the Oscars except for DHRPG. We could compile a list of RPs that are going and do a bunch of polls, and link the polls to the RPs so that people could read them and basically vote on our favorites. We could also do like a "Best In" a certain genre, or perhaps something like "Best Concept" or "Best Overall" or "Awesome Character in an Comedic Roleplay" or "Kickass Character in an Action Roleplay", even just "the best scene in an RP"; simple things like. It's just something fun that could possibly get people to want to roleplay more on the site. And the award ceremony itself could be an RP. People could pick out dresses and tuxes and try to be snazzy and whatnot, we could have our own little red carpet and we can have the mods present the awards in the first Annual DHRPG Awards. I dunno, I was thought it would be fun and it could help make RPing more prevalent on the site. *shrug* | |

| Okay so I am hoping to get three contests active. (One of the three being The rping contest) I put up the poetry contest and renewed the story contest. So you all better start entering!!! You gots plenty of time. So never fear I have extended far enough that I won't need to extend the date again. Please reframe from asking for extension on the ending date if the contests. We will not do that anymore. That's why I put in extra days earlier, so you should be able to have enough time for all contests. Anyways good luck! Mod of contests Mai | |

| Idea: Money backed short story contest gives greater incentive to participate. Description: Paypal accounts are free, so contestants make accounts and put in 5 bucks. You submit your story and push the entry fee into a site-owned account. Winner takes all. Rules: Minimum word length to be determined (achievable but worth making a cash prize over) Themed on survival (loose interpretation), since this place is trying so hard to hang on at the cliff. One submission per person. Places: 1st only if there's less than 5 people, but with more than that we can do second place gets their entry fee back and winner takes the rest. Place Prizes: Winner take all, second place keeps their entry fee if there's enough people. | |

| A competition with an actual monetary prize? We've never done that before. I'm dubious about it, but if you can persuade me, then maybe it's a possibility we can look at. Of course we would have to take a look at the legal side of things, such as age limits etc. | |

| Ok, while that's a good idea, I think even less people will participate. I certainly wouldn't. I have more important things to spend my money on. I don't think I'm the only one that will feel that way. | |
