Yes, the highly acclaimed graphic novel created by Bryan Lee O'Malley has been turned into a live action movie, with some famous stars filling the shoes of the unique characters... But what did we all think of this movie? Was it a great movie for you? Was I the only male thinking "Wow.. Finally a romantic comedy that is actually great for men to laugh about!"? Did we relate to any of the characters?
I loved this movie, there wasn't a point in the movie where I wasn't laughing, and I even managed to find another awesome role model who is gay, even if it was just a character. The constant references to both video games and actions found in graphic novels and comic books, like the speedometer for Lucas Lee while he was on his skateboard, going down to the thonks and pows whenever someone was hit. I believe that if it came down to it, most of us have a little bit of Pilgrim in all of us, granted, it doesn't involve beating down a bunch of exes to gather their sweet, sweet coins, but we do also share the same hardships when it comes to relationships.
