What Evil Does
From here the blood drips,
Slowly slipping to the ground,
The knife falls from his grip
Panic sets in his head,
As he considers it was all lies,
That he had killed her tonight,
He ran away to hide,
For fear he would be found.
Madness is his only friend and enemy,
Whispering encouraging words.
Counting and teasing,
Badgering and cheating,
Taunting and angry,
Until he kills again,
He found no place,
Just the disembodied voices
….whispers....
They speak.
“Go, go on kill again.”
And he yells “No!”
Crunching snow beneath his feet he screams,
For someone stop this man,
Capture him and lock him away,
No more hiding,
He comes out again
To kill his next prey.
